Buzoku

Buzoku is the Japanese word for tribe. This configurable poplar wood installation consists of 4 independent parts. Each crafted using a different Japanese technique. Making each unique. Standing apart they form a diverse forest of ideas and information, able to present themselves in various forms and shapes. Joined together they grow into one tree. A tree big enough to seek shelter. To harbor a safe meeting place. A space to connect, nurture and develop amidst an ever growing forest.
Note. This collab with Matisu - who learned his woodworking craft in Japan - was carefully sized to fit into an elevator ensuring everlasting mobility.
